A decade ago I created an acrylic painting of Minnesota for my former company. It found a special place in my home and in the homes of many former coworkers who remain dear friends. The piece captured a shared affection for this state and inspired me to keep spreading that Minnesota love while championing the belief that everyone can be creative. At Gray Duck Art I dream big and share those visions online, but the magic happens when collaborators bring them to life. Ruby Lith, one of Minnesota’s most gifted artists, has been instrumental in transforming my rough ideas into finished work that far exceeds anything I imagined. Ruby, thank you for taking this design from an idea to 1000% perfection. Your talent is everything and I can’t wait to hear about your artwork being painted by countless Minnesotans.

We love the idea of paying it forward and are actively brainstorming how Gray Duck Art can donate kits to those who could use a creative boost. Possibly from hospitalized teens to adults in rehab and other community members. At this point it’s all in the planning stage and we don’t have an official program or timeline yet. We’re focused on doing it thoughtfully, and we’ll keep you posted as partnerships, logistics, and a plan come together closer to official launch time.
